Solving Backlash Through Media

I thought the article, "Christian magazine editor says Chip Gaines is right about work-life balance", was, for one thing, extremely relevant to my career path. When I work in Marketing, Public Relations, or Social Media, and I'm representing The Magnolia Table or people like Chip or Joanna Gaines, I'm going to have to fight against critics like Austin from USA Today. I would have to persuade an audience, in this case particularly, that it is possible to have a balance in faith, family, and fame. Chip Gaines defended himself on that issue, but he also had help. When he defended himself, he used Twitter which is a form of social media that is more permanently compared an outlet like Snapchat. If a large group of people were to respond to his tweet negatively in any way, then it would be my job to either make a speech to the press about it or to combat it some other way in a positive manner while using the media as a resource. This would definitely be the kind of issue I would have to resolve if I was working for a Christian business owner or a Christian company.
I would also use quotes and images from a video like this one to combat the negative press of the couple being "so into fame" or "not having a good work life balance" because they show on this interview, and throughout their own show, that they make their kids a part of their life while balancing making homes for people on their show "Fixer Upper".
